By accessing or using DFAM Academy, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Statement. If you are using the site on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to accept these terms on its behalf. If you do not agree, do not use the site.
Use of the Site
DFAM Academy is provided for professional, business, and educational use related to design for additive manufacturing. You agree to use the site lawfully and not to:
- Interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the site, its servers, or connected systems.
- Reverse engineer, scrape, or copy the site or its content except as permitted by these terms or applicable law.
- Upload content or files you are not authorized to share, or that are unlawful, infringing, or harmful.
- Use the site to develop a competing product or to misrepresent your affiliation with DFAM Academy.
Accounts
Some features require an account, which is created and managed through our authentication provider. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
Tools & Analyzers
The part analyzers and related calculators provide automated estimates and design guidance to support your evaluation of additive parts. They are decision-support tools, not a substitute for professional engineering judgment, qualification, testing, or your organization's release process.
You are solely responsible for verifying outputs and for any design, manufacturing, or release decisions you make. DFAM Academy does not warrant that analyzer results are accurate, complete, or suitable for any particular part, process, or production use.
Engagements & Proposals
Pricing shown on the site (including assessment and program figures) is indicative and provided for information only. It does not constitute an offer or a binding quote. Any engagement is governed by a separate written agreement or statement of work that defines scope, deliverables, fees, and terms. In the event of a conflict, that agreement controls over these terms with respect to the engagement.
Intellectual Property
The site and its content — including text, graphics, layouts, curriculum materials, and software — are owned by DFAM Academy or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may view and use the site for its intended purpose, but you may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from its content without prior written permission, except where permitted by law.
You retain ownership of model files and information you provide. The browser-based analyzers process those files locally; see the Privacy Statement for how model files are handled.
Third-Party Services
The site relies on third-party services for authentication, analytics, scheduling, form handling, fonts, and content delivery. Your use of those services may be subject to their own terms and privacy notices. DFAM Academy is not responsible for third-party services or for content on sites we link to.
Disclaimers
The site and its tools are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, DFAM Academy and its affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the site or its tools — even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

We may update these terms as the site, features, or legal requirements change. The effective date above reflects the latest published version. Your continued use of the site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
